INXS, more specifically Michael, had a definite and profound effect on me…Circa 1983, was 14 years old at the time, growing up in (and desperately wanting out of) a very small rural community in the US, first saw INXS (remember it well) on MTV for the first time. “The One Thing” video literally caused my jaw to drop to the living room floor in awe (sensual content, the first food orgy I'd ever seen); more importantly, opened me to their fantastically inspiring music. Immediately obtained and consumed all of their albums (ordered those not available in the US). After 20 plus years, know undoubtedly their music pushed me to form my own opinion; say it, shout it, and more importantly, act on it. Be passionate, be sensual; live life with fervor. It's all good. Honestly can say that music, in particular INXS did in fact shape me and contributed to my success as an adult, no doubt (now living in Manhattan, successful, living what the music taught me so long ago). Of course, goes without saying, will miss Michael's future music tremendously, yet so thankful for the gems (Jan's Song, Original Sin, Burn for You, Not Enough Time) and treasures (too many to list) left behind, hey… wonderfully done… Michele
