I've been a fan of INXS for years now and was saddened by the news of Michael's untimley death.
That being said, I am not sure that your upcoming show looking for a replacement is a good idea. Bad enough that the airwaves are saturated with “reality” shows which have at worst, a vouyeristic appeal. Even if there is a winner, there will always be reminder that he or she is in your band with the sole purpose of replacing a dead man. I harbor the same feelings about the upcoming show that TLC is planning to replace their deceased bandmate.
I understand that you have been unable to record since Michael's death and that any replacement will not be quite the same. My hope is that you will be able to find a suitable lead singer having to “go the Hollywood circuit”. If it does not work out, could you at least consider Kylie Minogue?
Peace...
