I don't know who will ever read this but it is important to me to thank Michael and INXS for what they have done for me.
I was first introduced fully to INXS in 1986 after not long returning to Australia. I was visiting my cousin when the newly released 'Need You Tonight' video came onto the tv.
I had heard the song on the radio a few times but it wasn't until I saw Micheal's performance with the band on that video that I was thoroughly captivated.
I was having a tough time in those days. In my early 20's I had returned solo to Australia for a new beginning.
My problems sonn arrived in Australia after me and INXS became a reliable friend I could turn to.
Kick was the first CD that I ever bought and for four years straight it was INXS that helped me nurse my challenges every day.
Of course over the years I completed my INXS library as well as attented the 'Kick' and 'X' tours.
The thing that touched me profoundly was that INXS' songs and Michael's performances of them were more honest than anything else out there. These were not 'cookie cutter' songs, these were (and continue to be) a piece of Michael's soul.
Almost 20 years on my life is a different picture now - successful and happy. Although my troubles are gone I will never lose The love I have for INXS' music and through that Michael and the band.
Thanks
