It's so hard to believe Michael left this plane 8 years ago now. I discovered INXS when I was in high school in the 80s and then I took the music with me when I entered the military. I always remembered how much fun I had teaching my daughter to dance to INXS when she was little, especially when I was deployed far far away. I remember where I was when I heard Michael had died. I was at Walter Reed Army Hospital as a patient, recovering from surgery to rebuild a body wounded in the Balkans. It felt as though I had lost someone very close to me. I still have all my CDs and my now teenaged daughter and I still dance in the living room to all that great music, I just wish Michael had lived long enough for me to take her to see the band in concert, and she has often said the same thing.
