I met Michael many years ago in LA at a dinner party. He was warm, gracious and incredibly down-to-earth, especially considering his fame. We continued to run into each other working in other cities around the world- and he always went out of his way to say hello and share a laugh.
The last time I saw him was the night of my birthday in November 1996. We were travelling together in a car to a party after the MTV Awards in London . I remember him having to jump out early as the paparazzi were in hot persuit of him.
He was such a bright man, with such a generous nature, and sincerity which I will never forget.
