I recall being about 11 years old, and we had just gotten MTV. One of the first videos and songs to ever make an impact on me was INXS's “The One Thing.” I loved the brashness of it, a foodfight set to music! Most of all, I was immediately drawn to the charisma and talent of the lead singer, Michael Hutchence. I became a fan on the spot, and their music saw me through a sometimes rocky adolescence. I am 28 years old now, and I am a fan for life. The news of Michael's death stunned me so much, that occasionally I have difficulty believing it is true.
