Please note:
Faced with the challenge of inappropriate messages being posted in the past, we have resorted to pre-approving all guestbook entries before they appear in Michael's Guestbook. We also ask you to enter your email address. It won't be displayed on the site but will help us to keep the guestbook organised as well as allowing us to reply to as many as possible with a word of gratitude. Thanks for understanding.

To all the Hutchence family,

May I just take this moment in time to say, I have read your very moving accounts of Michael's life in Just A Man. I have been a fan of your son's music for many years but did have a period of absence, where other music stole my attentions.

I cannot imagine what it must have been like for you all. To have to fight to find the truth behind all those lies. It has been said that your book was an attack on certain people, but I do not feel this at all. To me it was a touching account from a mother who had lost a son and a sister who had lost her brother. That is all. All I can say is I am grateful you let us in to the world of the real Michael Hutchence. He was a good man, caring towards you all and their was a lot of love in your family despite the disjointedness of it all. But what is a normal family? Does this really exist? I myself have a brother who travelled with his job as a chef, there were many long gaps in our physical contact with each other but I never once doubted that we still cared for each other. He now lives in Vanuatu, with his current partner and her children, it has been two whole years since I have laid my eyes on him. But we phone and email each other as much as our jobs and lives allow. Some things just aren't simple. But I cannot imagine a world where he is not there at all.

So my heart weighs heavy for your loss as a family as it approaches the sixth anniversary of Michael's death and hope that with each passing minute, each passing day, each passing week, that pain you must all feel eases a fraction more and that you can feel peace.

Yours with love,
Carolyne Gill
