This is a nice place to come to heal. My sister & I saw INXS in concert more than 6 times, the last being at the Warfield in San Francisco less than 4 months before Michael's death. During the concert Michael joined the crowd for a drink... a double vodka tonic at the bar in the back of the room. Suddenly he became one of us, joining in the celebration of their music. The band didn't miss a beat and added to our joyful experience.
We remember leaving that night with such elevation of spirit and great anticipation for our next get together. Their next world tour was only months away, an eternity it seemed. We've never had a party without INXS being present and we have introduced them to all of our friends. They were well worth the two night camp outside of a local music store for concert tickets.
I called Merry at 12:00 AM the night I heard the news. We just cried together in disbelief. All of our memories came flooding back and suddenly their music had new meaning. Our Michael, our friend, thank you for our memories.
We would also like to take this opportunity to tell Andrew, Tim, Jon, Garry, and Kirk that we miss them terribly and hope this isn't the end. For such a talented and inspiring group of men to stop now would be another tragedy.
We love you all.
Mr. Hutchence,
Thank you for giving the fans the chance to say farewell and help begin the healing. Hopefully in receiving all of these notes it is helping you heal too. We were all very fortunate to have such a beautiful man touch us the way he did.
Happy trails to all who find this and love him as much as we did.
Until we meet again, Michael, peace & love.
