All these years later, I'm now 34 with 2 young children and yet still in a spare moment I am looking up Michael or INXS because I still just love the band and its members. My friends and I devoted years and years to chasing the band around Melbourne, staying at the Regency Hotel just in case we met any of them in the lifts, buying tickets to every concert in a tour (Melb. only), saving up for ages to buy tickets to Rocking With The Royals etc. Even as I type I get chills because “never tear us apart” has come on the radio - spooky! To Kel & family - how proud are you of your eldest son - for all the times we met him (shaking, asking for signatures) he was always polite and it was never too much to pose for a photo (even when we turned up in the most bizarre places) - we even used to sneak out just before the end of a concert and get around the back of the venue and yes we managed to be sitting in the back of their limo when the band came off stage and went to the limo (imagine how impressed they were to see 4 young girls giggling in their getaway car). INXS were our life for many years and will always hold a very special place in my heart that will never die - I'm teaching my son the songs from the best band in the world. My memories start at the Myer Music Bowl in the early 80's for the Summer Fest - right through to the last time I saw INXS (unfortunately without Michael)at the Mercury Lounge (the band were fantastic - tears spilled when Kirk sang “Shine Like It Does”) I still remember him and Michael sitting down and singing that song. I could type for days about how much I just love that band with Michael but that would get boring - so here's to memories that will always live on beautifully through his music (and my photos!!!) RIP Michael you gorgeous man.
Love always
