Surfers and INXS sort of went together in the 80's. Michael and INXS were a part of every surf trip that me and my friends took as kids and college students. Now. I'm grown up and have kids of my own. Still go on surf trips to Mexico and Costa Rica, it's a little different now, but I always have “The Swing” with me. When Michael died, so did my youth, and my dreams of immortality. I realized then how real and cruel the world could be. However, when I listen to anyhting by INXS, especially the early works, it brings me back to a better time and better place. A place of carefree youth. Without a mortgage, car payment, real job,or heath concerns. Just a dude and his board. Surfing during the day, listening to KICK at night. RIP Mike, and thanks for the memories.
