A Shining Star, you light up souls & hearts around the world, deeply missed.
I meet Michael as a young teenager starting out, on the Northern Beaches, Sydney at the Royal Antler, in break, he come over asked me what I thought, "everyones dancing rocking musics great", but as usual , Michael was interested in other people not himself and asked about me, interested in art and poetry like him, at 15yrs I liked sneaking into pubs dancing away to amazing Aussie bands of the day, Michael laughed he was under age too 17ys, talking away, drank my beer, tilled dragged away by his girlfriend. Chatted away at other gigs, INXS then toured captivating fans across Australia. Last time saw him at gig, dancing on table tops, he mentioned - you always have a boyfriend, I said you have a girlfriend - as he wanted me to go to a party after as the band was heading to USA that week, where they took America by storm, then the world.
Many people will have stories, encounters of there own, of this gentle sharing kind soul, teenage shy watched him grow into a man, highly intelligent, musical genius, timeless lyrics, who entertained and got us through good and bad times, and still does today, whilst fighting his own battles and demons.
