It truly tears me up that I will never get to meet Michael or see him perform live in my lifetime. When I listen to his songs, his strong, beautiful voice is so alive that I cant believe that he is gone. It sends shivers up my spine to hear him sing.
I remember the exact moment I heard he had died - I was sitting on the couch in my lounge room watching tv and a Channel Ten News update came on and delivered the horrific news. My sister walked in (I even remember she was wearing a purple dress) and I passed on the awful news. It did not seem real. I was only 15.
Now I am 19 and still cant believe he has gone - but he will live on. Every time I hear, “Disappear, “Suicide Blonde”, “Need You Tonight” adnd “Never Tear Us Apart” (my fave INXS songs) he will be right here next to me, singing in my ear, just to me.
