It is that time, again. Time for me to reflect on over 18 years of musical influence in my life, and that turn of events on November 22, 1997. I can remember every single detail about that day.
I was heading to a class and my friend Jennie, and her boyfriend Carl, were arriving at my door to take care of my children. Carl grabbed the newspaper out of my mailbox and sat down with it at the table. It was mere seconds later when he stood, placed his hands on my shoulders and said “Laurie.... Michael is dead.” For seconds I stood there not comprehending what he meant. Michael? What Michael? And then he led me to the paper that laid spread across my table and I saw my Angel's face staring at me....
Miss you Michael. Love you Michael. This world was hard on you, so I pray that where you are now you have found happiness and peace.
Forever,
Laurie
