My thoughts are such a small drop in your ocean, but I just want to tell you how much Michael Hutchence and INXS meant, I guess means, in my life. I am a 33 year old Director of a sports marketing company in the UK and yet my younger years as a fan (fan, as in dancing to every single INXS record available on the jukebox in my local pub/club in Cardiff) has had such a huge influence on me, then & now. The music, the lyrics seeing Hutch and the guys in concert was just such a high in my life. As a serious music lover of all kinds, I feel nothing will ever again fill the void that is left by the brilliant lyrics/music of Michael. I used to so look forward to the new released albums etc and the beautiful photos of an amazing person. So I will carry on, but will never forget. To listen to past albums is a trip into ecstasy and a sad journey at the same time.
God bless Michael and INXS for all they have brought into people's lives around the globe. And thank you Kel Hutchence and Family for allowing people like me to say a last word. When I get together on a weekend with various friends, to play INXS, remember and talk... well. what an experience! That will never leave my psyche, whatever age I get to. I enter so many business meetings/negotiations with “Sometimes you kick, sometimes you get kicked” in my head. Just thanks really 4 giving me the words to express how I feel.
