Once a year I leave a message here, remembering our beloved Michael. Today I write on the 20th anniversary of his passing. Today I do not wish to remember Michael with sadness, but with Thankfulness. I am thankful for what Michael has given this world. Thankful for the music, that I grew up listening to, thankful that I had the opportunity to have met Michael twice when I was 16, but regret being too shy to ask for a photo with him. I am thankful for the amazing people I have met, because of Michael and of INXS. In 2007 I organised a fan weekend in Sydney, to celebrate the life of Michael on what was the 10th anniversary. We also celebrated INXS's 30th anniversary. A group of fans from around Australia and a Kiwi, came to celebrate Michael. We visited Michael's memorial, where flags from all over the world were sent to be displayed on his anniversary. We met Michael's lovely step mother Susie Hutchence on that day, such a beautiful kind woman. We held a gathering at Sydney's Star Bar at which Michael's band brother Kirk Pengilly and INXS's security and tour Manager Tony Woodhall attended . We felt Michael with us that day, his presence was strong.
Sadly this 20 year anniversary I haven't organised a fan weekend , but will remember Michael today, with INXS music playing all day.
Thank you Michael for being a part of my life, in so many ways.
Bless you, and bless your beautiful daughter Tiger and your family and dear friends.
You will never be forgotten.
