I was glad to discover this website so I can express my feelings even after 3 years since Michael's death.
I still find it hard to belive since I
had seen INXS in concert in Connecticut -exactly- 2months to-the-day prior to his passing. I considered myself a fan having seen the band in concert also back in 1991. What is more surreal to me is the fact that I was in Sydney just two and a half weeks before he died. I had walked all over Sydney and saw an ad for an upcoming concert there for Dec. 10,1997. It,of course, was not to be.
No one knows about anyone..what is going on in their minds and hearts even though we think we know celebrities through the media,we forget that they are human with real problems too! I truly feel that INXS can NEVER replace Michael. His voice was too unique and he opitimized the rock star persona that so many try to attain or emulate. Michael had it! I was blown away by the concert two months before his death. He talked of Tiger at his concert. It was a very personal moment. I,at that time, had no idea what he was going through.
I'm sure it was too much to bear and still he gave an incredible performance. I had my own little tribute to Michael at my house. My own way of saying good bye..as strange as that sounds. I didn't know him,but I was still affected by his death. And by signing this guestbook I can at least say what I have thought for the past 3years. Thank you,T
