I must share with you this if I may please. While watching the television just now, a commercial for Chevrolet Silverado came on. Normally I do not give attention to the commercials of television...no. However, this one was different, and it was one which brought to me a smile. It was not the product itself, rather it was the voice used to sell the product. Allow me to explain. Throughout the commercial, the familiar music of INXS is heard...and then Michael sings, “I'll give you what you need...give you what you need.”
Indeed, Michael gave us what we needed...yes.
It is said that all of our tomorrows are ours to shape; with that thought in mind, may we remember that Michael's daughter, a very small child, has many many tommorrows ahead of her to shape. The words we as a people share can influence this wee one, as she grows in her own spirit. May our visits here reflect a kindness and a respect as we pause to honour the memory of a man who deeply affected so many. May we seek to always give tiny Tiger 'what she needs', in the same way that Michael gave us what we needed...yes.
