If I understand it right, there was a custody battle for Tiger prior to the death of her mother, Paula. Now, she had lost custody of her three other children to Mr. Geldof, on top of her having lost the love of her life, Michael. In the eyes of some people perhaps all these tragedies unhinged her mind to such extent that she was deemed to have became an unfit mother to her children. I wonder if there could have been another, better way of showing one's love for little Tiger, as well as one's support for Paula, than to try to separate the two. It seems to me that ultimately it is Tiger who will have to pay the highest price for her mother having been unable to protect her from the “best intentions” of the rest of the world.
