I grew up listening to INXS. Michael had an appeal about him that is difficult to put in words. No matter if he was onstage singing or doing an interview, it seemed like he gave everything to that performance or that person. It was like nothing else existed at that moment but Michael & what he was doing. I remember playing New Sensation over and over on a cassette tape. I can still feel that excitement when I hear his voice. To this day I gasp and my heart feels like it stops when I hear INXS come on the radio. And I still remember the sadness and where I was when it was announced that he had passed away. I remember standing frozen in front of the tv & just could not believe what I had just heard. I remember foing in my room amd sittting on my bed & just staring at my INXS poster, trying to comprehend everything. Michael was the first rock star that I had ever had a crush on. I remember the news media saying so many things about how he died and he supposedly had a split lip, fractured arm/hand & bruises on his face as if he was assaulted. The world lost a great singer & performer 18yrs ago. Its hard to believe it has been 18 years. He will forever be missed by fans, family & friends around the world.
