I would just like to add my wishes to the memorial site for the late Michael Hutchence on what would have been his
55th birthday.
All that I can think of on a day like today is the joy and fun and overwhelming enthusiasm that he had in his performances on stage and the dedication and utter undeniable belief in the music and message that INXS wanted to spread across the globe. They toured to a point of what appeared to be a quest to get their music out there to as many different types of people and cultures.
I only ever got to see them live once in 1987, it was a great night and the sound they produced was incredible and Michael worked the stage as only he could. When the pantomime and circus that eventually surrounded him and enveloped him to a point of despair, took its toll it felt like such an undeniable loss.
In the end what matters is the music that we can still enjoy , to me it brings back places, times in your life and senses that sometimes we forget as we get caught up in just day to day STUFF. All of my memories of which are happy and leave me smiling.
