I saw Michael this morning on vh1 classic and started to think about him. He was truly a timeless performer. In my Buddhist faith we have memorials where we submit the name of a person who has died and then their name is inscripted on a wooden or paper Toba which is a Stupa. A Stupa is what you may see in a Buddhist cemetery. This honor is typically done for family and friends. I have rarely had a memorial such as this done for somebody I've never personally met such as a celebrity but something compelled me a few years ago have one arranged for Michael at the Buddhist Temple on the anniversary of his death. I've always enjoyed Michael's work but I would never consider myself to be a huge fan just somebody who appreciated his work. I still don't know the exact reasons why I chose him as someone to have such an honor performed especially since I am a fan of many people who have died in show buisness-But I did. I would like his family to know that by having this service in his name he is assured happiness and security that transcends the existences of past present and future. May his memory live through his wonderful work and life.....all the best
