Good night sweet Prince and may flights of angels bring thee to thy rest.
Perhaps this is not the place to say this. I suppose you should never believe what your read in the tabloids. But there does seem to be a lot of internal squabbling within the family and with Paula Yates since Michael died. (Again this is all just an impression I get from the media which may be completely inaccurate).
If that is the case..I urge you all to make amends. It will not be easy. Mr Kell Hutchence seems like a wonderful man who is completely devastated by his loss. But it is so important not to let any animosity creep in.
As a media watcher I have “known” Paula for years. Of course I do not really know her. I only know what I read about her. In her defence I will say that she is probably one of the most maligned women in Britain.
She and Michael were persecuted as a couple. Of course I cannot say that without admitting that at times Paula invited the press in to her life. She has a love/hate relationship with the press....a talented woman who has been overwhelmed by all the media attention she has received.
Michael was undoubtedly attracted to her quick wit...heaven help them both. It is one of the biggest ironies of their relationship that the english press hounded Paula for cheating on “Sir Bob Geldof.” (The English press doesn't give a damn about Bob...it just served as a saint/sinner analogy).
Everything is in black and white for the tabloids. Paula and Michael equals bad..Bob is elevated to sainthood. The whole situation was depicted in cartoon like terms with nobody really receiving a fair hearing.
Of course not that it was any of our business anyway.Nor is it really up to me to urge the family to make amends!!
The most important thing is that Michael will live on in our memory as a talented musician who had a short but fruitful life.
May all those who were blessed by his love gain solace in his memory. May Tiger grow up to respect her fathers legacy....and may Paula get back on her feet..write a best selling novel. Project her energy in to a worthwhile venture and make those tabloids eat humble pie!
Thank you for the site Mr K. Hutchence. I hope my comments will not anger anyone. I really hope to be a source of good in my own small....small way!
