Dearest Michael,

You are sorely missed. I always think of you this time of year, and on your birthday. I wish to honor your memory somehow. Perhaps between now and Wednesday I'll come up with something special. I'll never forget when I met you so long ago. You changed my life for the better, and you kept me sane through all of my late adolescence and early adulthood. Thank you for your spirit, your life, your music, and everything you gave because I have a feeling you gave it your all. Take care up in heaven. I'll see you again someday.
