Please note:
Faced with the challenge of inappropriate messages being posted in the past, we have resorted to pre-approving all guestbook entries before they appear in Michael's Guestbook. We also ask you to enter your email address. It won't be displayed on the site but will help us to keep the guestbook organised as well as allowing us to reply to as many as possible with a word of gratitude. Thanks for understanding.

Hey, Michael, it's been a long 13 years since your death, though it seems like yesterday. I still love INXS' music, and your singing, especially. Timeless. Beautiful. You had it all as a musician: smarts, talent, looks. The songs you wrote were powerful. “Lately”, from “X”, especially speaks to me. “The taste of your freedom was sweeter than love.” What's more, your talent and creativity has inspired me to share more of my own talents, among them writing. So, here is one of my poems for you, written in March of this year. I hope you are touched somehow and honored by this poem.

Unforgettable

Who could forget
The moment you stepped on stage and electrified an entire stadium of people
Who could forget
Your genuine love and passion for what you did
Who could forget
Your beautiful and unusual voice
Who could forget
The songs you and Andrew wrote together
Who could forget
Those heartfelt, honest, and powerful lyrics
Who could forget
A man whose gifts were truly God-inspired
Who could forget
The awe we felt at being lucky enough to witness you and your talents
Can we forget
The magic six guys in an Australian rock band called INXS made together
Or their chemistry
Will we forget
The giant you became in the world of rock music and the legend that went along with it
How can we forget
What you meant to us
Why should we forget
The gifts you shared with the world
The love you had to give
We won't forget
You were just a man, but, oh, what a man!
We cannot and we must not forget
A man named Michael Hutchence, whose soul was deep, whose sexy looks belied the fact that he was he was so much more, who did not hide his abilities, but shared them with the world
We won't forget
Because, Michael, you were truly unforgettable
Missed
Deeply missed
But always,
Unforgettable
