Faced with the challenge of inappropriate messages being posted in the past, we have resorted to pre-approving all guestbook entries before they appear in Michael's Guestbook. We also ask you to enter your email address. It won't be displayed on the site but will help us to keep the guestbook organised as well as allowing us to reply to as many as possible with a word of gratitude. Thanks for understanding.

Thank you for this website. I only recently became aware of its existence I am thankful there is a place that friends, family fans alike can convene to remember the great Michael Hutchence.

From the time I was 9 years old I have been a fan of INXS. I only got the opportunity to see them once, on the Kick tour when I was 13. Never have I been the type of girl that can be won over by the sex appeal of a band its lead singer--my appreciation of music has always been about the music itself. Imagine my surprise when I found myself blown away by the sheer charisma Michael radiated on stage. It really was mesmerizing to see. Without question, the entire band made that concert one of my cherished memories, but that was when my impression of Michael Hutchence progressed from “awesome lead singer” to “a singular talent.” (I know this might sound a little too insightful for someone who was 13 at the time, but I have always been incredibly perceptive, completely obsessed with music.)

I never met Michael Hutchence, but I have been learning about the effect he had on so many lives who he was as a person by reading peoples' postings here. I am very grateful for the chance to do so, but each one I read makes me that much sadder that I will never have the opportunity to actually know even meet this person who, by all accounts, was truly a gift.

It has simultaneously warmed broken my heart to peruse this site. As a mere fan, I still can't make any sense out of why Michael is gone, I almost feel relieved to find that not even those who were close to him are able to do so either. At the very least, it is evident that he will never be forgotten. It's nice to have a good feeling like that amidst such sadness and loss.

My warmest thoughts go out to all of you.
