I keep having this dream.
I'm standing outside of an auditoriumthat I've never seen. People are everywhere, but I can't see their faces, they are blurry. Then all of a sudden, I'm standing front row looking up into Michael's face while he is singing. I don't know what song he's even singing, I just marvel at the dynamics of his voice. He's wearing a green suit. Then, inevitably, I wake up. More often than not, I hear “Not Enough Time” on the radio later in the day.
I always think about the time INXS was having a concert in Minneapolis, a mere 8-9 hour roadtrip from Omaha. My fiance and I didn't have tickets, but we were willing to buy them no matter the cost. However, my little Chevy has seen better days, so in the end, we decided we would catch them another time, because nothing could possibly happen to prevent another tour. But it did. I never got to see them in concert. Then again, maybe Michael knows that. Maybe, about twice a week or so, Michael gives me the concert. Unfortunately, it is only in my dreams.
Thank you for the music, Michael. And the concert.
