I feel that, had INXS faded into obscurity, or never “made it” to begin with, the spirit of Michael Hutchence would have nonetheless left a significant impression on the spirit world. By spirit world, I mean the ball of string that is the connectedness of all that lives or has lived.
I don't care that it sounds crazy when I say that I have spoken to him in my dreams. I believe that what happens in dreams is very real indeed, and when Michael found his way into mine, I knew I was just one dream of many, many others. I have always listened to his music, and that was what I heard as I walked outside of my apartment and, to my surprise, found him there- just singing. Nothing I've ever heard before, but he stopped when I came out, and said that most people did not like his music in that capacity. Perhaps he meant that most people do not listen to their dreams. He gave me a hug, spoke to me a bit more, then I woke up.
His spirit is so vibrant, so full of love, selflessness, passion, compassion, openness, and a teeny bit of hedonism, from what I could gather, and I mean that in the best of ways- I mean that he is enjoying the afterlife even more than he enjoyed life. I sincerely believe that he continues to connect with us, and that he really is still with us all, and happier than ever that he is so well loved.
I would normally not come out and say things like this, because people often find the idea off-putting, but I feel like it is my responsibility to remind you (and I'm sure many of you don't need reminding) to listen to your dreams, to feel your love as fully and passionately as you can, and not to let the melancholy of earthly existence get you down. There are many in search of kindered spirits, of loved ones, and Michael is beloved of all here.
