I experienced Michael and the band at the world famous Barrowlands in Glasgow. At the time they were considered one of the few bands that could fill stadiums worldwide but they insisted on getting back to their roots and experiencing the emotion and excitement only small venues can deliver - They described the vibe of the Barrowelands as one of their favourite and memorable venues. They shrouded the tour in mystery only naming the venue just prior to the day of the gig. The tell tale sign on the ticket was the fact that you had to be over eighteen to enter. They responded that night with a show that surpassed all their stadium rock. A true measure of their ability, morality and spirit - not many bands at this level can respond to venues of this size all over again.
When you have rocked the Aussie bars for so long before their meteoric rise to fame then musicalability and performance is conditioned as a sixth sense.
Michael that night was sublime oozing every facet of Rock n Roll.
He was unique
God Bless
