20 years ago today (20 August 1986 in Ft. Worth, Texas) was the first time I saw INXS perform. The band, Michael's energy and the way he gripped the audience will be forever remembered by me.
Before that day, I had barely even heard of INXS. I worked as a bartender then and one of the employees was engaged to Jon Farriss. Jon came in the night before the Ft. Worth gig for a few beers. He was a remarkably nice guy and spoke very well of the band and his true friend Michael.
Michael is much missed. God bless him and his family.
