Its hard to put in words the extent of just how much i have been touched by Michael. I have been a “fan” since the early eighties. On his final tour of the UK, I couldn't make a local gig but i did travel to Glasgow Barrowlands June '97 where i arrived early and was first in the queue. I couldn't belive my luck when a doorman informed me and a few other fans that the band where about to leave the venue (post sound check). We duly ran round the building and were not disappointed. The band were very gracious signing autographs and talking with us. Micheal discreatly walked at the back of the crowd to the tour bus.. I called out “Mike..” he turned, smiled, walked over and signed my ticket.. I was totally star struck and desperately wanted to strike up a conversation about TigerLily for instance but words failed me. He turned and walked away. My moment had passed. The gig was amazing and I had seen the last of my hero. But he will always remain .. my hero, my inspiration. Peace
