To Michael...
Happy 40th wherever you may be. May your shining star shine like it does and watch over your loved ones extra brightly on your special day. I hope John(lennon) Jim(Morrisson) and Elvis(need I explain further??) have provided you with enough good times. I'm sure you have spent many glorious times in that super rock stadium up there in the sky laughing on recounting the Jim Morrisson comparisions, the Beatle-esque nostalgia and the fact you played the night Elvis left the building... with the actual legends themselves. Of course that may all be hypothetical, but please know that you will always have a special place in my heart (and that of countless others) and I hope you left this world knowing how many lives you have touched and how many hearts and souls you have blessed.
To his family...
Thankyou for, on this day 40 years ago, bringing such a indescribeable presence into the world and then never failing to encourage him and support him in his endeavours... because without which Michael would never have reached his full potential and so many lives today will unknowingly have gone through their lives thus far with a piece of their hearts missing. The piece that only knowing your son's/brother's/lover's/cousin's/nephew's/father's charismatic, generous, selfless, humourous, sexy stage persona, lyrical talent, musical flair and outstanding perfoming abilities could fill.
The gift you gave is gonna last forever Michael... I will never forget the light INXS' music gave to my night, and the peace it gave me... and the darn groovy tunes to belt out to! I'll be damned if and when I bring my own children into the world, that they go through life without such a positive, irreplaceable and indescribeable influence in their lives...
Let the party rock on...
