22.01.2020 – HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY Brother

The world is not a better place since your passing.  Greed and war have all but destroyed our planet.
Yet thru the gloom and lies sparks growth.
I feel you’re loved more now than ever.
The way your music passes the test of time highlights the talent you continue to shine.
What a wonderful gift to the world.
I will be blasting you all day, bringing hundreds of wonderful, and funny memories, and I imagine tears for your early loss.
And what some may see as a loss, I see as a gain, in having known and shared soo much with you, the highs the lows, the laughter and tears, brotherly insight, brotherly advice and brotherly love, lots and lots of brotherly love.
Today is the celebration of you, your life.
Thank you for that
Always
RHETT

16.12.2019 – Mystify out on DVD and on Demand

A journey into the heart and soul of Michael Hutchence, internationally renowned lead-singer of INXS, a complex and shy man who spent much of his life in the public eye, rarely revealing his true self to anyone except his very close friends. Rare archive footage and intimate insights from friends, lovers, family, colleagues and Michael Hutchence himself, portray his life from the beginning of his fractured family background to the peaks of rock stardom and down into the depths after a freak accident in Copenhagen seriously affected his ability to deal with his unravelling personal and professional life. A feature-length theatrical documentary written and directed by Richard Lowenstein, director of the majority of both INXS and Michael’s music videos and the 1986 feature film, Dogs in Space, in which Michael played the lead.

Visit the the Mystify website to find out where you can order or stream the Michael Hutchence documentary.

22.11.2019 – Michael, the brightest star in the firmament

To my beloved stepson Michael. This twenty-second year of your passing has seen your star shine even more brightly then ever,  if that could be possible. I, plus a myriad of fans, new and old have had the very great pleasure of viewing Richard Lowenstein’s critically acclaimed documentary entitled “Mystify”. In it Richard has exposed the man behind the rock god, and what a sensitive soul resided there. Of all the words written and the films produced, this documentary produced with honesty and integrity, comes closest to revealing the real Michael Hutchence. Fans have also had the added bonus of viewing the cinema release of “Live Baby Live” showcasing INXS at its zenith. Shine on dearest Michael.

22.01.2019 – Happy Birthday, Michael

When we celebrate a birthday, we celebrate a precious birth that took place on a miracle day.

On 22nd January 1960 Michael Kelland Hutchence became part of that miracle of life. He became part of a lineage of parents, grandparents, great parents that stretches back in an unbroken line for thousands upon thousands of years. The miracle of Tiger Lily means that lineage is able to continue. Nothing is more precious than a birth, and each consecutive birthday is progressively more precious.

It is wonderful to celebrate Michael’s birthday today because it celebrates life, his life. We all wish he was here to celebrate as many birthdays as possible, but we totally dwell on the joy he brought his parents, step parent Susie, brother Rhett and sister Tina… and the joy he continues to bring us all that admire Michael and his incredibly uplifting music.

Michael, your birthday indeed is a wonderful day to celebrate with thankfulness the time you had, the time we had and the legacy we continue to feel from your art and your personhood.

Happy birthday Michael, and God rest you well.

22.11.2018 – Live Baby, Live

The greatest message Michael has left us is the joy of his music, yet if he could turn back time, statistically he would tell a story of regret. Regret that he was stuck in a moment of no return.

Recently an article was published by a man who had jumped off The Golden Gate Bridge. Miraculously he survived. Hundreds have jumped to their death from the same bridge but of the few who have survived, they unanimously all agree on this one key, common experience, the minute they jumped they were instantly overcome with deep regret.

If Michael could speak today, he would want his weakest moment to be his strongest message. Life is so precious and yet sometimes dark despair befalls us. When it gets too much, as soon as possible confide in a close friend or seek professional help, and be very specific that you are feeling very fragile. Never take the step of no return, but rather listen to Michael speak, “It’s a step of deep regret. Your loved ones need you to live, so Live Baby Live”.

Michael you are so sadly missed, always loved, always remembered, never forgotten.

22.11.2018 – It’s been 21 years since the world lost a great artist

Remembered, loved and missed every day, but particular poignance on the 21st anniversary of losing such a shining star and beautiful soul.

22.01.2018 – Happy 58th Birthday, Michael

Twenty years ago Michael’s family and friends joined together to sail
around Sydney Harbour for an evening of mutual support, sharing
memories and their love for Michael. It was Michael’s 38th birthday
and everyone was still coming to terms with their loss. No one could
possibly forget that night. While the atmosphere ebbed from melancholy
reflection to initial healing moments of awkward laughter, there was
an unspoken emptiness, a numbness, a huge hole had been left in
everyone’s life that seemed unimaginable, unthinkable a mere two
months before. It was a heartbreaking situation, contemplating a world
without Michael Hutchence. No more jovial greetings, spontaneous
phone messages, impish grins, philosophical discourses, no more
creative songs, no more passionate performances. All that Michael had
ever achieved, spoken, written, the love he gave to others, the
attentive ear, the hug, the kisses, were now his legacy that would
remain in hearts as priceless memories. With the passage of time, we
have hopefully learned to focus more on the memories with a grateful
heart, than the grief of loss. So with an uplifted and grateful heart
we say happy 58th birthday, dear Michael.

22.11.2017 – Searching

It became one of Michael’s most definitive live television performances where he seems to give it his all Read more…
